VERATECH takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect when you visit language.veratechglobal.com or buy our services, how we use, store, share and protect it, and how you can access, correct or delete it. Please read it before you tick “I agree” at checkout: ticking the box means you have read and accepted this policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide the service, keep your order secure and meet our legal obligations:
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and, if you give it, your country or region.
- Order details: the package or file you order, the files, links and instructions you send us, your source language and target market.
- Payment details: the amount, payment status and payment method type (Alipay). Your card number, account details and payment password are collected by the payment provider, never by us.
- Identity documents: only when you send them to us for certified translation. We use them for that translation and nothing else.
- Technical data: basic server logs such as IP address, browser type and time of visit, kept to protect the website from abuse.
We do not ask for your identity number or bank card details on this website.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, deliver and improve the services you order;
- to contact you about your order, send receipts and handle revisions and refunds;
- to keep our website and your account secure and prevent fraud;
- to report data where laws, regulators or payment providers require it;
- for any other purpose you have clearly agreed to.
If we want to use your information for a purpose not covered by this policy, we will ask for your consent first. We never sell your information, and we never use your files for advertising or to train software.

5. Sharing, transfer and disclosure
We do not share your personal information with any company, organisation or individual, except:
- Payment providers that process your payment;
- translators and reviewers working on your order, each bound by a confidentiality agreement;
- service providers that host our website and send our emails, under contracts that protect your data;
- our affiliates, only where necessary to provide the service and only the part they need;
- authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not transfer your information to a third party unless the law requires it or you agree. If VERATECH is merged or acquired, we will tell you and require the new owner to keep to this policy. We publicly disclose personal information only with your explicit consent or when the law requires it.
Because we serve customers worldwide, your information may be processed outside your country, including in Hong Kong. Wherever it is processed, we protect it as described here.
6. Storage and security
- Project files, including any identity documents, are deleted 90 days after delivery.
- Order and payment records are kept for as long as accounting and tax laws require, then deleted or anonymised.
- The website uses HTTPS encryption. Files are stored encrypted, and only the people handling your order can open them.
- If a security incident affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
7. Your rights
You may ask us at any time to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you may withdraw your consent. Email support@veratechglobal.com from the address you used for your order. We reply within 5 business days and complete the request within 30 days. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before, and we may need to keep some records the law requires.
8. Third-party services
Payment pages and other third-party services you reach through our website have their own privacy policies. Please read them; we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
9. Children
Anyone under 18 may use our services only with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has given us information without your consent, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We publish the new version on this page with its effective date, and tell you about important changes by a notice on the website or by email.
